A Transition period “semainier” in marquetry of different wood. Semaine means week in French and it is because it opens with 7 drawers that this type of furniture is called semainier. The Transition period (1758-1775) is a period beween the Louis XVth and the Louis XVIth and mix in its style the motives from those 2 periods. We note here curved legs typical from the Louis XVth period and a geometrical marquetry representative of the Louis XVIth period.
