Bronze with double patina signed by Joseph-Victor Chemin, born in Paris the 25th of August 1825 an died in 1901. He was a student of Barye, the most famous sculptor of animals. Victor Chemin started in the exibition of 1857.The E. Benezit: Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs et Graveurs lists Victor Chemin on volume 2,page 704.
